Product Care

At Josephine Jones, we take pride in the unique quality of our wool, shearling, fur, leather, and suede products. Due to their natural composition, variations in texture and shade may occur. Please note that hand-dyed wool may exhibit subtle color variations, and slight imperfections are inherent in natural materials.

WOOL MAINTENANCE

Should fur fibers transfer onto your clothing, simply use a lint roller for easy removal. If your Mongolian fur develops knots or frizz due to frequent use, gently tease it with your fingers and lightly mist with water using a fine spray bottle. Allow it to air dry, and it will regain its original appearance.

In the event of rain exposure, shake off any excess water from your coat and allow it to dry naturally. After drying, gently shake the fur to restore its fluffy texture. For cleaning, always seek the expertise of a specialist cleaner. When storing your coat, ensure it's kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

SHEARLING MAINTENANCE

To maintain the texture and color of your shearling coat, avoid wearing it in heavy rain. If exposed to rain, shake off excess water and allow it to air dry. Store your shearling coat in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. If using a protection spray, conduct a patch test beforehand. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects. For cleaning, rely on a specialist cleaner.

FAUX FUR MAINTENANCE

Store your faux fur coat without a synthetic bag to allow proper ventilation. If your coat becomes wet, hang it up to air dry away from direct heat sources. Use a soft bristle brush to gently comb out any surface stains or dirt following the direction of the fur grain. We advise against hand washing; instead, opt for dry cleaning. Avoid tumble drying to prevent fabric damage.

LEATHER/SUEDE MAINTENANCE

Over time, leather and suede coats will naturally soften. Be cautious with detachable collar and cuffs, as frequent removal and reattachment may cause button holes to loosen. Limit the frequency of such actions to preserve the integrity of your garment. Eventually, you may need to alter buttons to larger sizes or enlist a specialist to tighten the button holes.
